Orkney 2 Thurso 3

Scorers - Orkney: Bews (20) Wilson (35) Thurso: Mackintosh (48) Murray (89) Morris (90+2)

THURSO came from 2-1 behind in the 89th minute to snatch a dramatic win in Orkney to go top of the North Caledonian League.

The Orcadians who were pre season favourites for the title took a 2-0 lead at half time thanks to goals from Erik Bews and Joe Wilson.

But Thurso pulled one back in the second half as Innes Mackintosh reduced the deficit to one in the 48th minute.

The Vikings battled to bring the game level and eventually did so in the last minute of normal time when James Murray scored a header.

With the game heading for a draw, Thurso stunned their hosts with a 92nd minute winner through Steven Morris to sail back the Pentland Firth with all three points.
