Thurso brothers Aaron and Innis Mahon had a successful day at the annual senior athletics event organised by Highland Disability Sport in Inverness.

Competing at the Queen’s Park facility, and accompanied and coached by their mum Catherine, the lads took home two gold and two silver medals.

Innis won gold in the 100m sprint and standing long jump and silver in the shot put. Aaron took silver in the long jump.

Both are members of the Caithness Disability Multi-Sport.

Club chairman Willie Mackay said: “Along with encouragement from their mum Catherine, Aaron and Innis are very enthusiastic in competing in their chosen disciplines.

“They are regulars at regional events in the Highland capital and once more they have done Caithness proud.”
