GARY Mackay-Steven scored to help Aberdeen stay level on points with Celtic in the Scottish Premiership with victory at Hibernian.

The Thurso born winger scored in the 38th minute as the Dons recorded a 1-0 victory at Easter Road.

It was the 27-year-old's first goal for the Dons in the SPL since signing from Celtic at the start of the season.

It is his second goal for Aberdeen in all competitions with his first coming in the 2-0 Europa League win in Bosnia against Siroki Brijeg.

Aberdeen and Celtic are both on 23 points with the Glasgow side only ahead on goal difference with Rangers six points behind in third.
