There were plenty of colourful costumes on show as Thurso Bowling Club hosted its annual Fraser round-robin charity event in sunny conditions on Saturday.

The competition was sponsored by D&M Fraser, of Castlegreen Road, Thurso, and it raised £605 for Prostate Cancer UK.

Nineteen teams entered, with fancy dress, a raffle and spot prizes throughout the day. It proved to be a marathon event, starting at 9am and finishing around 11pm with Alan Morrison, Marina Bain and Danny Taylor winning the final.

Competition sponsor Douglas Fraser said: “It was an excellent day. I appreciate the generosity of club members and all the work done organising and running the event.”
