Third-place finishes for Caleb from Caithness RDA

A teenager from Caithness group of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) took part in a Level 1 showjumping competition and Countryside Challenge at Cranloch Riding Centre, near Elgin.

Caleb Dyer (13), a pupil at Thurso High School, made the trip with coach Mary Elder and RDA volunteer Erin Russell.

The Level 1 showjumping was a new experience for Caleb. He gained 79 per cent and a respectable third place.

In the Countryside Challenge he scored 85.5 per cent and was placed third.

Caleb exhibited a photo of his miniature Shetland and was awarded a special certificate.

He borrowed a pony named Tyson from Cranloch.
