Swanson and Miller are 10-mile time trial winners

Stuart Swanson raced his non-aero bike to good effect to win Caithness Cycling Club’s latest weekly 10-mile time trial.

Iain Miller took second place with his best time this year by over four minutes, while Lorna Stanger was third with a 24-second improvement.

In the Handicap League, Iain Miller took the maximum of six points, followed by Martine Hughes with five.

Times: 1 Stuart Swanson, 26 min 17 sec; 2 Iain Miller, 26.56; 3 Lorna Stanger, 27.52; 4 Angus MacKay, 28.07; 5 Roger Broughton, 28.48; 6 Gary Angus, 29.08; 7 Phil Cartwright, 29.40, 8 Martine Hughes, 36.40.

Danny Miller was once again a clear winner in Wick Wheelers’ 10-mile time trial.

On a mild night, second-placed Derek Fraser did well to beat Caithness Cycling Club visitor Alistair Miller by five seconds.

Times: 1 Danny Miller, 24 min 05 sec; 2 Derek Fraser, 26.54; 3 Alistair Miller, 26.59; 4 James Munro, 29.09; 5 Lisa Coghill, 34.11.
