BOWLERS from the St Fergus, Rosebank and Lybster clubs competed for the Macdonald and Allan Shield on May 25.

After some entertaining bowls in the early games, the semi-finals came down to Alec Thomson and Fiona Henderson, St Fergus, beating Archie Brown and Paul McNeil, Rosebank, 15-4, and Johnny Robertson and Graham Bain, St Fergus, triumphing over F. Allan and Drew Robertson, St Fergus, 17-9.

The all-St Fergus final turned out to be a one-sided game with Graham playing fine lead bowls and he and Johnny winning 21-7.
