Special day for sisters Zara and Lois at Caithness Riding Club show

Good weather helped make the annual summer show held by Caithness Riding Club a great success. This year the event went ahead at Northfield, Halkirk, by kind permission of the Henderson family.
Judges for the day were Kim Gill (ridden), Rhianna Gilmour (in hand) and Clare Molyneux (working hunter).
It was a great day out for young sisters Zara and Lois Manson from Thurso as their pony Bronllys Another Cherry came home with a large haul of rosettes and sashes. Zara and Cherry won the lead rein showing class and went on to take the champion ridden pony title, while Lois took the reserve in-hand pony sash as well as the reserve junior working hunter award.
Taking the champion ridden horse sash was Russell Skelton with Kincullen Moonstone, winners of the cob class and the Janet Welsh section. The reserve ridden pony sash went to Kira Fraser with Llwyngell Llywelyn.
Ruth MacInnes, Latheron, took the in-hand pony championship with Ceulan Magic. The veteran in-hand winner, Alisa Macdonald’s Storm Dancer, was the champion horse, while the reserve horse went to Monty, shown by Mick Moore.
In the working hunter ring, Ruth Sutherland and Mastermind won the senior working hunter title. They also picked up the reserve ridden horse award.
The senior reserve working hunter sash went to Morven Mackenzie with Llynhelyg Lady Cilla. Fearne McCarthy took the junior championships with Bailey.
