Snow results in call-offs across the north, as Wick Academy vs Brechin City is postponed

Wick Academy's hopes of creating an upset against table-topping Brechin City in the Highland League this Saturday have been put on hold after the game was postponed.

Harmsworth Park, the home of the Scorries, was deemed unplayable this morning following a pitch inspection.

A date for the rescheduled fixture is yet to be confirmed.

Elsewhere, heavy snowfall has also claimed the Scottish Cup tie between Brora Rangers and Cove Rangers, called off after a mid morning pitch inspection of Dudgeon Park earlier today.

In the North Caledonian League, Golspie Sutherland's match at home to Orkney has also been postponed, while Thurso remain hopeful that the Naver All-weather pitch will pass an inspection this afternoon ahead of their league match against champions Loch Ness on Saturday.

Halkirk United, traveling to Dalmore Park in Alness on Saturday, are awaiting word on the Easter Ross park.
