Thrills, spills and surprises were on the agenda this week as the Seaforth Club hosted Wick and District Darts League's annual league pairs with the best turnout of players since before Covid.
There was a full representation in the ladies' event. Morgan Perry and sister Alison Tait (Seaforth) took the title, beating Kara Sutherland and Freda Perry 3-0 in the final.
Losing semi-finalists were Julie Harper and Maggie Sutherland (0-3 to the eventual champions) and Jeanette Longstaffe and Jade Jones (also 0-3).
In the Division Two competition, Jordan Oag teamed up with fellow Smiddy teenager Ryan Campbell and they were outstanding. They got the better of Jack Duncan and Michael Sinclair (3-2), Brian Oag and Liam Miller (3-0) and the Smiddy "3" pairing of Malky Simpson and David Taylor.
In the top flight it was nip and tuck all the way with David Miller and Martin Campbell (Smiddy) taking the honours, winning 3-2 in the final against Ryan Campbell (Seaforth) and Martin Nicolson (Harper's "B").
