Singles titles go to Matthew and Morven in Caithness Badminton Association restricted championships

Matthew Robertson and Morven Coghill took the singles titles in Caithness Badminton Association's restricted championships held in the Wick games hall.
Matthew overcame Mark Mackay in the men's singles final by a score of 21-15, 21-11. The final of the women's singles ended in a 21-6, 21-4 victory for Morven against Chloe Mackenzie.
Mark Mackay and Sean Campbell emerged as men's doubles champions, beating Aiden Young and Matthew Robertson 16-21, 21-16, 21-19 in a keenly contested final.
There was more success for Morven in the women's doubles final, as she and Marion McCoustra got the better of sisters Michelle and Tanya Cowie by 21-13, 16-21, 21-11 in another close tussle.
In the mixed doubles, James Falconer and Eilidh Paterson triumphed 25-23, 21-19 against husband and wife Benji and Joanne Mackay.
Benji teamed up with Andrew Falconer to take the plate men's doubles, with Lewis Swan and Josh Sutherland as runners-up.
Winners of the plate mixed doubles were Jack Harcus and Jane Grant, beating Aiden Young and Morven Coghill in the final.
There were seven entries in the men's singles and three in the women's singles. Six pairs entered the men's doubles, with five pairs in the women's doubles and nine in the mixed.
