Seven join the black belt club

SEVEN students from a Caithness martial arts club have been awarded 1st degree black belts. Among the KSD Martial Arts students is its youngest black belt Hazel Gunn, who has been training with the club since she was a four-year-old. The others to reach the status are: Gary Beardsley, Laura Doull, Alexander Gunn, Robyn Gunn, Ryan Gunn and Scott Lafferty,

Chief instructor Sabumnim Vince Tait, who founded the club 10 years ago, said: "The students have shown physical proficiency and demonstrated the personal traits of courtesy, humility, loyalty, and bravery. I am very proud of them all."
