Seaview completed the Wick and District Darts League season with a 100 per cent record, adding the Knockout Cup to their league title.

The John O’Groats side were put to the test by the others at the tournament in the Norseman Hotel, but to no avail.

In the semi-finals they were 4-0 winners over Smiddy “3”. David Taylor had darts to defeat Kevin Macgregor, only to fall short.

Michael Sinclair suffered the same fate against James Howden, as did Alan Forbes versus Stewart Tait. But hot prospect Logan Moodie went down to a brilliant display from Marc Macgregor.

The second semi-final saw holders Seaforth defeat the gallant Park Hotel 4-0. Park’s John Sadler didn’t lose a singles contest all season in the league.

It was nip and tuck in the final, with missed doubles leading to a magnificent Seaview win.

Marc Macgregor was Seaview’s top performer, while for Seaforth it was Richie Budge.

Shortest leg: James Howden (Seaview), 13 darts.

Maximums: Marc Macgregor (x2), Kevin Macgregor (both Seaview), Martin Nicolson (Seaforth), David Taylor (Smiddy “3”).

Checkouts: Kevin Macgregor, 114; Michael Sinclair (Smiddy “3”), 111; David Taylor, 100.

Next week it’s back to the Seaforth Highlanders’ Club for the Alice Coghill singles and Colin Perry pairs (toe the oche 8pm).

Team line-ups – Seaview: James Howden, Stewart Tait, Marc Macgregor and Kevin Macgregor (captain).

Seaforth: Ryan Campbell, Richie Budge, Martin Nicolson and Michael Campbell (captain).
