Wick Academy will be looking to improve their underwhelming away record when they take on Forres Mechanics at Mosset Park on Wednesday night.

The Scorries have been strong at home in the Highland League this season, as they showed again on Saturday in beating Keith 2-0. They have won eight, drawn four and lost four at Harmsworth Park.

On their travels it has been a different story, with a solitary win and one draw from 14 away fixtures.

“Our away form is not very good this season,” manager Gary Manson conceded. “We’ve got three away games left and three opportunities to try and improve it slightly.

“I think it’s fair to say Forres are not having the best of seasons by their standards, so we’ll go down there and try to win the game.”

Academy won 3-2 when Forres visited Harmsworth Park in October thanks to a superb hat-trick by Gordon MacNab in the first half.
