Schools make a splash at gala

Pulteneytown Academy won the gala prize for schools with over 100 pupils. Councillor Willie Mackay presents the trophy to Abby Cook and Liam Harper while other members of the team look on, along with organiser Garry Macleod (back).

A team from Pulteneytown Academy, Wick, won the Norma Smith memorial trophy for the 4 x 25m relay for schools with over 100 pupils. Keiss Primary won the east of Caithness schools swimming gala for schools with under 100 pupils. Our photo shows Councillor Willie Mackay presenting the shield to Iain Fishenden, while looking on are (from left) – Rory Sinclair, Lucia Sinclair, Emma Fishenden, Carrie Robertson and Lee Mackay. Keiss also won the Norma Smith memorial shield for the 4 x 25m relay. The event was organised by High Life Highland active schools co-ordinator Garry Macleod (left).
