School teams gain valuable experience in S3 netball festival at Thurso

Thurso High School hosted a netball festival for S3 pupils, welcoming two teams from Kirkwall Grammar School and one from Wick High.
Kirkwall Grammar School "1" finished in top spot in the round-robin competition, with Kirkwall Grammar School "2" second, followed by Wick and Thurso in third and fourth places respectively.
Thurso coach Seonaid MacDonald said: "These were challenging games for the Thurso team as they have only ever played against Wick but both Wick and Kirkwall have the experience of competing in the Scottish Schools Cup.
"The Thurso girls were nervous to start with but gained confidence and improved greatly as the tournament went on.
"The Wick girls started well with a win against Thurso and continued to improve.
"All teams enjoyed their day and gained valuable experience competing against different teams."
