THERE was some close competition in all classes in round one of Caithness Motocross Club’s championship at Ravenshill last Sunday.

The autos saw Mathew Murray taking first place after Lewis McAdie’s bike suffered mechanical problems, while newcomer Jak Ryan took second place.

In the 85cc small wheel section Troy Anderson showed tremendous speed and skill and went on to win all four races. A big spill, however, ended with Sean Reid not finishing race two.

The 85cc big wheel category was a tie between Lee Gunn and Jack Duffy with Duffy winning overall after taking the final leg.

The adult "B" class was won by Darren Sinclair who won all four of his races on his new KTM 450.

The adult "A" class gave a warm welcome to Graham MacIntosh from Brora who finished second overall to James Ross who won all four races. The race was sponsored by R. McAdie Joinery and Richie was on hand to present the winners with their well-deserved trophies and medals.
