THURSO High School got into Olympic mode last week as they staged their version of the upcoming games in Rio.

Each of the four school houses adopted a country and took part in a four day programme of Olympic sports including netball, football, rugby sevens, table tennis, mountain biking and badminton.

Brims represented Australia; Pentland were Great Britain; Olrig were China; and Dirlot Brazil.

Olrig ended up topping the medals table followed closely by GB, Brazil and Australia.

The Olrig team celebrated by having a final half day of fun with the PE department. All four teams are seen here on the school playing fields.
