Old Stagers join Huntly on 12-point mark in Caithness rifle league

Round nine of Caithness Small Bore Rifle Association's winter league had seven shooters spread through three divisions gaining the maximum score of 100 – D Bremner (Watten), P Richard (Pentland), J Fraser and R Campbell (Halkirk), all in Division One, R Levack and S J Blackwood (Halkirk) in Division Two and Dingwall's B Mackintosh in Division Three.
Wick Old Stagers' victory over Huntly "A" means both teams are now on 12 points, three points behind the bogey in top spot. Huntly’s aggregate is one point better than Stagers "A".
Watten "B" are still top of Division Two, four points clear of Halkirk "B".
Dingwall’s win against second-placed Keiss has left the Ross-shire teams with a four-point advantage in Division Three.
Lairg maintained their position at the top of Division Four with by beating Halkirk "C". Huntly "B", after their win against Clachnacuddin, trail by two points.
In Division Five, Watten "C" have shot nine and won nine and are still the only unbeaten team in the league. Second-placed Wick Old Stagers "C" are four points behind.
Junior individual leagues have been suspended over the January break and will return with round eight due on February 6.
