Minions steal the limelight at Pony Club Christmas Show

Lots of fun was had at the Caithness Pony Club Christmas Show which was held at the indoor school, Halkirk, at the weekend.
The event could not be held in December due to bad weather and was postponed until Saturday (January 7), instead. Unfortunately Santa was not able to visit but the children still had a great day with many riders getting in the spirit of things by dressing up.
Judging the fancy dress classes were Hannah and Caitlin Flavell. The overall prize went to the winners of the first group for the younger riders – sisters Zara and Lois Manson, brightly dressed up as Minions along with their pony. Runner-up in the minis was Magnus Southall, as Santa stuck up the chimney.
Winning the second group was Ava Bain, aka Dennis the Menace, with Sophie Thomson taking second place with her unicorn outfit.
In the jumping classes riders completed a showjumping track and then the parents/helpers had to negotiate a course of dog agility fences.
