SEVEN surfers from Thurso have been called up to the Scotland squad who will compete at the World Games and World Junior Games.

Four Thurso surfers have been called up to compete at the ISA World Games in Costa Rica.

Scottish women's champion Shoana Blackadder along with Mark Boyd, Scott Main and Chris Noble will head to Central America in August.

Meanwhile Thurso teenagers Robbie McNicol, Connor Wilson and Iona McLachlan have been selected for the World Junior Games in the Azores in September.
