MARC Macgregor scored a hat-trick in the space of 14 minutes as Wick Academy cruised to victory against Rothes.
The match was delayed until 4pm after the Rothes team bus broke down in Sutherland.
All six goals came in the second half after a dull first 45 minutes where neither side created many chances.
But the game exploded into life two minutes after the interval when Macgregor chested a Ross Allan free kick into the net from close range.
However he scored his second and third goals in spectacular style.
The John O'Groats man put his side 2-0 up when Jack Henry nodded a Richard Macadie cross to him at the edge of the box and he thundered the ball into the back of the net from 20 yards.
He recorded his hat-trick in style when he connected with a long ball from Grant Steven deep in the Wick half to latch on to 20 yards from goal and thundered a powerful low drive into the bottom left hand corner.
Rothes pulled one back when Bruce Milne beat the Academy defence into the air to head the ball from a corner kick into the net from close range.
But Academy restored their three goal advantage five minutes later when Gordon McNab was the first to pounce on to an Allan free kick which clattered against the wall and scored from close range.
Allan then capped off a five star performance when he curled a free kick from 20 yards into the top right hand corner to seal an impressive victory.
