Macangus and Bain take Wick Ladies' Open prizes

The Wick Ladies' Open, sponsored by the Silver Darlings nightclub and Caithness Stone, was played last Saturday.

Deirdre Macangus, from Wick Golf Club, won the scratch trophy which was presented by six-year-old Alan Sutherland, while his father Paul presented the handicap trophy to Pam Bain, Reay.

Other prize-winners were (from left), longest drive 21-36, Basia Sandecka, Reay; third handicap, Sarah Meiklejohn, Thurso; fourth handicap, Lyndsay Stott, Thurso; sixth handicap, Laura Durrand, Thurso, who also won the longest drive 0-20; fifth handicap, Alison Mackenzie, Wick; and sixth handicap Morag Mackay, Thurso.
