Strathy beach was the setting for a Kuk Sool Won display on Saturday afternoon. Exponents of the Korean martial art from the Edinburgh and Falkirk areas were in Caithness and Sutherland on their annual trip under the leadership of instructor Donald Mackenzie, who is originally from Thurso.

Normally there would be as many as 70 taking part in the trip but Covid-19 restricted the numbers travelling. A few years ago Donald was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
