LIALL Mackenzie returns to the boxing ring on Saturday night after injury has sidelined the Wick fighter for the past 11 months.

The welterweight steps back into action against Northern District champion Aaron Logan at the Ironworks in Inverness.

The airport firefighter sustained bruised ribs towards the end of last year which led to his prolonged absence from competition, meaning he was unable to fight in the 2016 Scottish Open Championships.

But now fully recovered, he is looking for a big win to get his career back on track.
