Caithness clubs find out opponents in Highland Amateur Cup draw

Caithness clubs have found out who they will face in the preliminary round and the first round of the Highland Amateur Cup.

Cup holders High Ormlie Hotspur will host last year's beaten finalists Pentland United in a titanic preliminary round clash later this month.

John O'Groats face Lairg Rovers, Keiss take on Brora Wanderers, Lybster head to Lochinver, Thurso Swifts take on Golspie Stafford and Watten face Lochbroom in the preliminary round.

All other Caithness clubs have been given a bye into the first round.

Preliminary round ties take place on Saturday, April 22 and first round ties on Saturday, May 13.

High Ormlie Hotspur v Pentland United

John O'Groats v Lairg Rovers

Keiss v Brora Wanderers

Lochinver v Lybster

Thurso Swifts v Golspie Stafford

Watten v Lochbroom

Ties to be played Saturday, April 22.

First Round

Castletown v John O'Groats or Lairg Rovers

Helmsdale United v Staxigoe United

High Ormlie Hotspur or Pentland United v Thurso Academicals

Inver v Lochinver or Lybster

Thurso Swifts or Golspie Stafford v Invergordon

Thurso Pentland v Keiss or Brora Wanderers

Watten or Lochbroom v Wick Groats

Wick Thistle v Top Joes

Ties to be played on Saturday, May 13
