Kevin is Harriers' fleetest first-footer

A total of 26 competitors – 18 men and eight women – took part in the seven-mile run which began and ended at the Castlehill Heritage Centre.

The runners followed a route along Dunnet beach and through Dunnet Forest.

First man home was Wick’s Kevin Cormack in 43 minutes and 12 seconds, while first woman was Lorna Stanger from Thurso in 50.52.

Other main placings were: men – 2 Pete Fenwick 45.13. 3 David Spencer 48.28. 4 Robin Aitken 48.29. 5 Bryan Newlands 50.08. Women – 2 Roxane Andersen 54.22. 3 Jayne Klimas 56.47. 4 Yvonne Pollard 64.39. 5 Fiona Bremner 66.17.
