The Keiss side, captained by Greg Simpson, secured its place in division one next season with a great team performance.
Jordan Tait and Simpson were the standout players of the night, winning all three of their games. James Davidson handled the pressure extremely well to pot the championship-winning black ball.
Mountain Dew “1” edged out their rivals Mountain Dew “2” with a 6-5 win in a highly entertaining match. Francis Street Club “2” and Bayview “2” have rearranged their match after Monday’s game was postponed.
Camps “2” have all but won the division one title after demolishing Commercial 10-1.
All Camps players were on top form, with James Riach’s total clearances in his doubles the highlight of the night.
With only three games remaining, Camps “2” will have to suffer three heavy defeats in order to fail in their attempts to become champions for a sixth time. A win next Monday over Blackstairs “1” will officially crown Camps “2” division one winners.
Bayview “1” and Crown “1” remain six points behind the leaders after 7-4 victories over Seaforth Club and Camps “1” respectively.
Bayview “1” captain Steve Atkins completed a fantastic total clearance in his singles. Camps “1” started well against Crown “1” and they took a 2-0 lead with wins from George Smith and Liam More. Alan Larnach’s Crown “1” side then took control of the match and ran out deserved winners.
Both Blackstairs teams continued their fine form with Perry Campbell’s Blackstairs “1” side comfortably beating Queen’s 9-2 and Ryan Cook’s Blackstairs “2” side edging out Francis Street Club “1” 6-5.
