Squash players in the far north of all ages and abilities are being given the chance to be put through their paces by two Scottish internationalists.

Greg Lobban and Alasdair Prott are to hold coaching sessions at the Thurso courts on Saturday, May 12, before playing an exhibition game.

Thirty-year-old Lobban has had a glittering career since taking up the sport in his home city of Inverness.

Earlier this year he won his third national title and has for the past decade been in the world's top 30, reaching a top ranking of 21.

He has also been a world doubles champion and represented Scotland at two Commonwealth Games, winning a bronze in the men's doubles at Birmingham last year.

Now based in Edinburgh, he took part in an exhibition match with Thurso-bred elite player Jamie Henderson in June 2018 to celebrate the refurbishment of Thurso, Tennis and Racketball Club's tennis courts.

Twenty-one-year-old Prott, who also hails from Inverness, has won a string of national and European junior titles and is ranked 146 in the world.

The event on May 12 will see the two guests holding junior and adult clinics before they play an exhibition match.

They will then stage a question-and-answer session before members enjoy a social evening.
