Halkirk United 2 Thurso 2

ROSS Mcadie's last minute equaliser rescued a point for Halkirk United ending Thurso's 100 per cent start in the NCL.

United went into half-time 1-0 in front thanks to a free kick from Marc Gunn.

But Thurso came storming back in the second half and equalised thanks to Andrew Mackay who went on a sensational 60 yard run before scoring from a tight angle.

They then took the lead when James Maclean scored a header to make it 2-1.

But Thurso were denied all three points in the final minute when Mcadie scored a header after he connected with a free kick at the far post.

Despite the draw Thurso stay top of the NCL after pre-season title favourites Orkney suffered another shock defeat at home to Invergordon.
