THURSO professional squash player Jamie Henderson started the year taking part in a tourney in the south of France.
The 23-year-old lined up in the Open du Gard competition in Nimes where he successfully negotiated the qualifying rounds before being knocked out in the first round.
The Edinburgh-based player, who has a world ranking of 379, defeated Dutch and Czech opponents before losing out in four games to Englishman Connon Sheen.
