Wick's Harmsworth Park will play host to the Football Times Cup final next month as Halkirk United take on Thurso in a Caithness derby.

The first silverware of the North Caledonian FA season will be decided on Saturday, November 20, it was announced last night. The match will have a 2pm kick-off.

League leaders Halkirk ran out 4-0 winners away to Nairn County “A” in their semi-final on Saturday. Andy Mackay got the opener on 16 minutes and the Anglers doubled their lead around the hour mark when Bryan Reid’s cross was deflected in off a Nairn defender.

Grant MacNab added a third after 72 minutes and Jonah Martens rounded off the scoring four minutes later.

Cameron Montgomery and Marc Macgregor scored for Thurso in their 2-0 win against Loch Ness at Fortrose, a week after the Vikings had been beaten by the same scoreline in a league match there.
