ANDREW Douglas continued his impressive form in long distance running when he triumphed in the Inverness Half Marathon at the weekend.
The mountain running world series champion from Halkirk proved too good for the rest of the field after he crossed the finishing line in a time of one hour five minutes 39 seconds.
The 28-year-old also secured the North District Championship with his performance in Sunday’s race in which the runners were cheered home by a large crowd which had gathered in the city’s Queen’s Park stadium.
His victory continues his impressive start to his 2016 season in which he has won two races in Edinburgh as well as featuring in a number of high-profile events, including finishing 10th out of a star-studded field of 136 in the Antrim International Cross Country in Northern Ireland.
