Halkirk United and Thurso will begin their respective campaigns in the 2021/22 North Caledonian League with a midweek derby at Morrison Park.
The Caithness rivals are due to meet on Wednesday, August 25, as the league becomes a single division of 12 clubs.
Last season's temporary format saw the Anglers and the Vikings both competing in a six-team top flight, but the new season will see them coming up against a few unfamiliar opponents who joined the second division for 2020/21.
Champions Golspie Sutherland begin the defence of their title with a home fixture against Inverness Athletic on Saturday, August 21, while last season's Division Two winners Alness United entertain Invergordon in an Easter Ross derby.
