Caithness Badminton Association held its first junior tournament for P4-7 children, with a great turnout of 36 players from the Dunnet, Ormlie (Thurso) and Wick clubs battling it out at the East Caithness Community Facility.

The youngsters were split into primary classes and the format ensured that all had the same number of games.

All were delighted to be back on the court and there were some excellent games and rallies throughout the competition.

Organisers said it was clear that plenty of talent would be coming through the ranks and they thanked those who helped with umpiring and running the event.
