THURSO's Gary Mackay-Steven scored his first hat-trick for Aberdeen as the Dons cruised to victory over Hibernian.

The 27-year-old who joined the Dons at the start of the season was the man of the match as he scored three times in the 4-1 victory at Pitoddrie.

It was the first time Mackay-Steven scored for Aberdeen since October 14 which was also against Hibernian in a 1-0 win at Easter Road.

Aberdeen moved up to second in the SPFL three points ahead of Rangers who lost 3-1 against St Johnstone at Ibrox.
