An Edinburgh select travelled to Thurso to take on the Greens in their debut at their new home.

Over 400 fans went to watch the game where rugby was still a relative new sport in the county.

Despite a valiant performance against some of the top players from Edinburgh's biggest clubs, Caithness lost the match 18-8.

A cocktail party was held afterwards at the Pentland Hotel.
