HALKIRK United were 6-0 down after 60 minutes but almost pulled off the comeback of all comebacks at Morrison Park.

Five goals in the final half hour left Alness hanging on for victory in an incredible finish.

The Ross-shire outfit were in complete control of the game and hit the Anglers for six without reply with two goals each from Craig Munro and Gordon Finlayson with Jack Mackay and Shaun Grant also finding the net.

But in the final 30 minutes Halkirk scored five times with doubles from Ian Mackay and Ross Macadie with Marc Gunn also scoring as they nearly grabbed an unlikely point.
