Elder fastest in autocross round four ahead of Scott and Donn

Round four of the Caithness Autocross Club season was held at Towerhill on Sunday. There were 37 competitors in total, nine being juniors who all showed great enthusiasm.

The day consisted of two practice runs of two laps and two competition runs of three laps.

Gary Elder set the fastest time of the day at 1.45.75, with Timmy Scott (1.47.78) and Gordie Donn (1.47.81) very close behind in second and third respectively.

Ryan Henderson showed some excellent driving skills in his Yaris, earning him a first in his class and 12th overall.

Other class winners were Rachel Mathieson, Drew Mathieson, Ben Swanson, Timmy Scott, Sarah Donn, Robert Falconer, Ronald Gunn, Lachlan Jardine, Johnny Omand, Michael Cragg and Mark Foubister.

A date and venue of the next round has not yet been confirmed, though the club hopes it will be a two-day event.
