Draw is made for Highland Amateur Cup with 14 Caithness clubs in tournament

FOURTEEN Caithness football clubs found out their opponents in the opening rounds of the Highland Amateur Cup.

The draw was made in Dingwall on Saturday morning as the competition will return to action for the first time since 2019.

It was confirmed Halkirk have pulled out of all competitions for 2022, leaving Caithness with only 14 teams this season.

Defending champions Wick Groats will start the defence of their title away to Dornoch City.

Castletown will start their campaign away to Golspie Stafford in the only preliminary round tie in the North section.
