Caithness Car Club hosted two rounds of the 2025 Scottish Sprint Championship at the Golspie kart track, attracting 75 competitors from across Scotland.

Veteran racer George Coghill Snr (76) demonstrated he has lost none of his skill behind the wheel, securing two class wins and setting the fastest time of the day (FTD) on the Sunday in a Force TA that he shares with his son, George Jnr.

The Saturday contest saw John Munro, originally from Tain, narrowly claim FTD in his Spire GT3.

Despite dry conditions over the weekend, just one class record was broken. That was by 15-year-old Euan Bruce, from Insch, in the junior J1 category, marking an impressive achievement for this rising motorsport talent.

The event on June 7/8 was well supported by competitors and spectators, underscoring its prominence in the Scottish Sprint Championship calendar.
