Thurso Netball Club travelled to Fort William for their latest Highland and Moray league fixture and put in a hard-working performance before the home side ran out winners by 43-29.

Thurso started the first quarter well, taking an early lead with some sharp shooting from Ariella Thomas and Becky Taylor. The defensive unit of Ilona Unger-Russell, Mia Bain and Tegan Souter were making it difficult for Fort William.

Fort came back strongly in the second quarter and the mid-court of Bethin MacDonald and Anna Swanson had to battle tirelessly to work the ball into the circle.

Sarah Donn gave an injection of pace in the shooting circle, making it difficult for the Fort William defence. In the end Fort William secured the win.

Thurso's player of the match was Mia Bain.
