Wick Groats will be targeting their third piece of silverware in eight days when they take on Avoch on Saturday in the final of the Highland Amateur Cup.
Kevin Anderson’s side regained the Caithness AFA Division One title on Tuesday night with a 7-0 victory over Acks in Thurso, having beaten High Ormlie Hotspur 4-1 in the David Allan Shield final last Saturday.
Groats and Avoch will be coming up against each other in the Highland Amateur Cup final for the fourth time in 12 years.
The Wick side won in the most recent of those meetings, in 2019 at Brora, when famously the only goal of the match was scored by Graham MacNab before the scheduled kick-off time.
Kick-off at Harmsworth Park on Saturday is at 2.30pm and match programmes will be on sale.
Anderson said: “It’ll be a good occasion – it always is. If you’re in the final you want to win it.”
