Thurso Netball Club’s latest outing in the Highland and Moray league brought a convincing 59-19 victory over Lossie North in Inverness.

Thurso started well, with the speedy pairing of Abby Cook and Anna Swanson linking up to work the ball into the shooters. Shona Comrie and Ariella Thomas were accurate with their shooting, extending Thurso’s lead going into half-time.

The defensive trio of Ilona Unger-Russell, Mia Bain and Lisa Mackay continued to apply pressure with plenty of early intercepts.

In the final quarter Ilona and Mia swapped defence into the shooting circle. They moved the wall in the circle to continue to add to Thurso’s lead.

Anna Swanson was named as player of the match for her speedy transition from attack to defence throughout the match.
