Caithness players Chloe Mackenzie and Sophie Mackay were treble and double winners respectively in Highland Badminton Group's annual junior restricted championship.

Sunday's event at Inverness Royal Academy featured 71 competitors from all over the group's area – from Barra, Lewis and Skye to Inverness, Moray and Caithness – with a total of 175 games across three age categories.

Chloe was competing in the under-19s and Moray's Callum McWhirter also won the treble in that age group. Another Moray player, Isla Johnston, did likewise at under-15 level.

Sophie was competing in the under-13s. Drew Murdoch (Moray) was a double winner in the under-15 competition.

Organisers were delighted with the standard of play.
