A total of £2000 was handed over to local charities at Caithness Autocross Club's prize-giving for the 2022 season.

The money was shared equally by Caithness Voluntary Group, KWK9, Home-Start Caithness and Caithness Klics.

These had been chosen by Caithness farmers who donated fields to the club for its competitions.

Eight events were held throughout the summer, with the overall champion award going to Timothy Scott. The junior champion was Ryan Henderson.

The 2023 season has just begun, with the first event being held at Towerhill on Saturday by permission of James and Tracy Anderson.

With 27 drivers competing, it was a successful start with the fastest time of the day going to Timothy Scott in his buggy. His brother Olly was not far behind.

The fastest car of the day title went to Gavin Sutherland.
