Campbell's 13-dart leg helps Thrumster side to first win

In the final round of Wick and District Darts League fixtures for 2023, Martin Campbell (Smiddy "2") hit a 13-dart leg and in doing so helped the Thrumster side to their first win in Division One. Jordan Oag made a welcome return and hit a maximum as they beat Harper's "B".

At the Seaforth club, Martin Nicolson also hit a 13-darter as they netted a win over Castletown Poachers. Rudi Goodlad was best for the visitors.

The Seaview are relentless with three of their players hitting ton-plus checkouts as they beat Smiddy "3".

Castletown and the Norseman shared the points, with Alan Henderson having a notable win against Aidan Sutherland.

In Division Two, Park came back from Lybster with a resounding win. Alec Clark, Willie Gunn, John Sadler and Dylan Gunn are getting better with every passing week.

The Camps ladies picked up their first point with Sammy Troy and Jeanette Longstaffe their top performers. Claire Thain notched another singles victory with a 174 and 140.

Next week sees the annual Christmas Cracker in the Seaforth club with extra boards being put up.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that local company Norse Stone is going to sponsor the league.
