Caitlin secures Scotland call-up
It is the latest honour for Dounreay apprentice Caitlin Harvey who earlier this year was involved in training sessions with the national under-18 sevens squad.
The winger, who plays for Caithness under-18s, took up the game at Wick High less than two years ago and has only played a handful of 15-a-side games.
Her last outing was in Edinburgh at the start of this month when she was part of the Caithness team which won the emerging club under-18 competition at the national seven-a-side tournament in Edinburgh.
Her coach Colin Sangster said the 17-year-old’s latest national call-up is a major step up for her.
“Caitlin has developed hugely since she took up the game,” he said.

“She’s got a massive challenge but I’m sure she’ll respond to it.
“Being called into the Scotland under-20 training squad is a real achievement on her part, given how few 15-a-side matches she has played.
“We’re currently looking to get her connected to a women’s club so she can get some games with them.”
Caitlin’s first assignment with the national squad is this weekend when she will take part in a weekend camp at Tulliallan.
It is the first of regular camps leading up to two international fixtures in March and April.
