The hunt is again on for the individuals who have lit up the Caithness sporting scene during 2023.

Four awards are up for grabs in the annual initiative from Caithness Sports Council (CSC) to recognise the county's elite performers.

It is also to decide who receives this year's Service to Sport accolade which is put up by CSC's parent body, Scottish ClubSport.

The crystal trophy is presented to mark the long-time involvement of a volunteer in a behind-the-scenes role as a coach, administrator or committee member.

Last year's award went to Caithness Rugby Club stalwart Peter Blackwood.

The CSC categories comprise the established Sportsman, Sportswoman and ParaSportsperson awards and the junior award, which was inaugurated last year.

Nominations have to be received by Friday, November 17.

The awards will be handed over before CSC's next committee meeting in the North Shore Surf Club base at Thurso East on December 5.

Nomination forms are available from imgrant9@gmail.com
