Members of Caithness Riding Club got together for their AGM and annual presentation of prizes at the Ross Institute in Halkirk this week.

There was a really good turnout for the event with a number of new recruits coming forward to join the committee.

Welcoming everyone to the evening, chairperson Jean Gunn said: “On the whole it’s been a good year, and fairly hectic. None of these events would be possible without the assistance of a great team of volunteers so a big thanks to everyone who helped out with running everything.”

Presenting the prizes was Jim Sudd who attends a significant number of the club’s activities to take on the first aid duties. Mr Sudd was presented with a hamper in appreciation of all the work he does willingly for the group.

The club was established in 1972, however, the 50th anniversary celebrations have been put on hold until 2023, the same year that Caithness Pony Club reaches this amazing milestone.
